OMFG!

by Debbish on May 18, 2011

Just when I thought I was almost up to date with my 12 Week Body Transformation Challenge tasks, the next (and final) pre-season task has been released. I knew it was coming but nevertheless my lunch (La Zuppa Chicken & Corn gluten-free soup) nearly paid me a second visit. Although I’m yet to view the lesson, it seems we have to:

  1. Weigh ourselves. Enough said.
  2. Take our measurements and record them. (Yes, record them.)
  3. Take a ‘before’ photo (to contrast with our ‘after’ photo). Really? Sure, no worries. A breeze for someone who is in complete denial about their size and does everything in their power to avoid photographs and mirrors.

OMFG!

That is all.

I’ve just signed up for my first round of 12WBT too. Loving your posts! My thoughts exactly! Do I really want photographic evidence of how far I’ve let myself go? It’s far too confronting for me today. Best of luck with the program.

Thanks so much Sonia. Sometimes I worry I’m a bit too honest in my posts!!!

I can’t even work out how I will get a picture taken unless I do it myself (cos there is no way in hell anyone is seeing me scantily clad). And as I said, I really avoid getting photos taken (and if I can’t, I don’t look at them) so REALLY don’t want to have to do one – although, I know it can sometimes help if you can’t notice the difference yourself (on the assumption you do lose enough weight to be able to tell!). Hmmm… perhaps if I close my eyes as I upload it….

understand completely! I avoid mirrors, even reflections in the windows!
I just put my camera on a tri pod and put it on timer to take the photo! No one gets to see me than! lol

Good luck and take that photo! :D You might be disgusted at this moment but later you will look back and see how far you have come!

Hi Josie

You are right (that no one need see the photo other than myself and perhaps it will motivate me to commit to the challenge!). I don’t have a tripod but can probably set my iPhone to take a picture (cringe, cringe!).

Thanks for your good wishes and I hope that I can look back with relief (and horror!) at the picture of the former-me in months to come!
